The American Chamber of Commerce, represented by Deputy Executive Director Altynai Asanova, participated in the “USAID Economic Development, Governance, and Enterprise Growth project (EDGE)” event held in Poland from June 24-28, 2024. This event, organized under the USAID EDGE Investment Transparency Activity (ITA) program with support from USAID FGI (Enterprise and Business Environment Development), brought together Investment Promotion Agencies (IPA) from the Western Balkans, Caucasus, Eastern Europe, and Eurasia regions.
The event included representatives from IPAs of Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, and Serbia, as well as business association leaders from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan. The purpose of the trip was to deepen understanding of successful practices in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and to exchange experiences on investment policy and stimulation.
Participants engaged in expert presentations, discussions on current FDI trends and international best practices, as well as interactive sessions with experts and fellow participants. The program also featured visits to technology parks and business zones, along with meetings with key partners supporting the development of FDI.
